Freestyle Slalom Grading Program

Freestyle Slalom Grading program is a program to help skaters find out their level of skills in terms of Inline Slalom.

Here are the details on the grading program.

Freestyle Slalom Grading Program requirements


Level 1 (basic slalom)

  • There will be 3 lanes of 20 cones (0.5m,0.8m,1.2m)

  • A test of simple combination of 3 singular tricks per lane, each lane at a time. Each trick must at least cover 4 cones.

  • Slalom tricks are not allowed to be repeated.

  • Judged based on posture and stability.

  • Each lane must not kick more than 4 cones.

 


 

Level 2 (advanced)

  • Routine demonstration without music on 3 lanes of 20 cones (0.5, 0.8, 1.2), each lane at a time.

  • At least 4 family tricks to be completed etc. Wheeling, Sitting, Jumping, Spinning

  • Spinning moves are to be completed by fullfilling 3 full rotation, while all other moves for family must be slalom through 4 cones.

  • Input of creative footwork, may not necessarily be 4 cones per trick

  • Covers all the cones by the end of the routine demonstration

  • 1 Fall is acceptable

  • Max 4 cone kick per lane or awarded a fail.

  • Judged based on smoothness, creativity & complexity of footwork (hence it cannot be similar to the level 1 simple combination)

 


 

Master class (competition style) requirements

  • A routine with music, 105 seconds to 120 seconds

  • The timer starts when the music starts.

  • Covers 4 family tricks – with at least 1B-classed or above trick, 1C-classed or above trick.

  • Spinning moves are to be completed by fullfilling 3 full rotation, while all other moves for family must be slalom through 4 cones.

  • Max 3 cone kick per lane or awarded a Fail.

  • No full fall (with backside touching the floor) unless the cause of fall is not due to the lack of skill.

  • Meet the standards of smoothness & stability through the routine overall.

  • All 3 rolls of cones must be slalomed.

  • Routine must contain at least 4 moves for each roll. However they don't have to be 4 cones moves.
